LLS Events - Event planning and management

Laura Streets

Originates from Birmingham Alabama, home of Southern Hospitality.

She was a professional dancer living and working in both LA and New York City, touring the continental USA and performing on Broadway, Radio City, Lincoln Center, The Kennedy Center and many more. She often worked as a Dance Captain/ Swing where she developed people management skills in addition to” Working on the Fly”( Making changes and creative decisions very quickly due to immediate injuries, illness, weather and many others reasons for interruptions in a normal schedule).

While working as a dancer she had the opportunity to work with some wonderful charity organizations such as Broadway Cares /Equity Fights Aids (the now famous Easter Bonnet Competition) Actors Fund of America, The Lighting House, Detroit MI and the Holiday Express in NJ. As a struggling Artist in the early years and later as fill in between dance jobs, Laura worked as a captain, bartender, and even baker in restaurants, catering companies in both LA and NY and a Five Diamond Hotel in NJ. She gained experience both in front and the back of the house for all types of events.

Laura Streets began working as a Project Manager for Eventure in NJ where she worked on Product launches for Watson Women’s Health Care, Planning and Coordinating the National Managers Meeting for Pharmacia.

Upon retiring from performing, drawing on her background in Production, Charitable Events and Food and Beverage experience, she moved to Stowe, Vermont and created LLS Events. For the last five years, she has developed an extensive network of professionals and suppliers, to provide virtually any service or product for your company's function in Vermont. When not planning an event you can catch Laura running a Dog sled or teaching a ballet class. (See Adventure Retreats).
